Checking Your Polarity

Updated: Feb 6, 2023

What is polarity?

Simply put, polarity is the way in which energy flows through the body. Similar to a battery, there are positive and negative polls that need to be connected and flowing correctly for the body to function properly. The top of the head tends to be positive(+) and the soles of the feet are more negative(-). The tops of the hands are (+) and the palms are (-).

What is reversed polarity?

When polarity is reversed cellular electrical conduction can be altered which may affect the body’s overall function causing such things as fatigue, poor memory, headaches, migraines, sensitivity to stress, depression, and exhaustion that is not linked to a physical imbalance, anxiety, fear, vertigo, dizziness, immune disturbances, poor coordination, and dissociation.

In addition, reversed polarity can affect how well the patches work.

What causes polarity to reverse?

Many stressors can cause polarity to reverse. Major life events such as divorce, the death of a loved one, or the loss of a job or livelihood can trigger a reversal. Reversals can also be triggered by the environment itself such as electromagnetic activity like mountains or volcanic areas, and exposure to EMFs on computers or phones for extended periods. Long road trips which can cause a buildup of static electricity in the body may also trigger a reversal. Chronic reversed polarity is usually caused by a traumatic event or sustained period of pressure that overwhelms the body’s electrical system.

How to test for polarity?

To test for polarity: stand up straight, face north, and place feet shoulder-width apart. Relax your knees.

Close your eyes, place one palm face down on the top of your head and feel for your body swaying forward or backward. Then put one palm face-up on the top of your head (toward the ceiling) and feel for your body to sway forward or backward.

If you sway forward with your palm down and backward with your palm up, your polarity is correct.

If the sway is backward, sideways, or doesn’t sway with your palm down, you need to correct your polarity.

If the sway is forward, sideways, or don’t sway with your palm up, you need to correct your polarity.

Ways to correct polarity:

Metal spoon ~ run a metal spoon (stainless steel) under the soles of each foot for 1 minute, in a figure 8 pattern, and then retest polarity.

Additional Techniques:

Use the Polarity Reset exercise to help shift energy flow and balance energy in the body.

I like to do the polarity reset exercise everyday. Often I do it several times a day because it adds such value to the body.

It takes 1 minute...2 minutes tops to do:

1. 20 taps on the thymus (middle of upper chest) 2. 20 taps on belly button 3. 20 chops on side of hand (the outside of hands between pinky finger and wrist) 4. Take 3 fingers and drag across the forehead from left to right and then right to left (using each hand) and do that set 3 times. 5. Take your right hand, starting at the left shoulder, and drag your hand across the body to the right hip, then take the left hand, starting at the right shoulder, and drag your hand across the body to the left hip. Do this set 3 times.

Then check the polarity again.**

Things to consider when testing or correcting for polarity:

- Be sure to be hydrated. Drink 8 oz of water and wait a few minutes to try again.

- Electrolytes are important as well since they help with the electrical flow. A pinch of Himalayan salt in water may help.

- Also, daily magnesium supplementation is good for this as well.

- Good energy flow or polarity, also known as Qi or Chi in traditional Chinese medicine, is believed to promote overall health and well-being. It is thought that a balanced energy flow can help with physical, mental, and emotional balance. Some practices, such as acupuncture, tai chi, and yoga, aim to promote good energy flow and maintain balance. However, it is important to note that these practices are not scientifically proven to have a direct effect on energy flow. Nevertheless, they can have other health benefits, such as reducing stress and promoting relaxation.

**This whole process to correct may take many repetitions (could take 20-30 min) for those that are "stuck" or not correcting right away.

Grounding outside in the grass, barefoot on a daily basis.

Facing north or south when testing since some people can be more sensitive than others.
