The Principles of Health and Detoxification

The seven principles of our health (Air, Water, Sunshine, Exercise, Whole Foods, Relationship & Passion) are very simple life giving principles, but not many people are conscious of them anymore which in my opinion has contributed to the large scale of chronic dis-ease and depression in our society.

Just like trees we need good quality air, water, sunshine, the ability to move & grow, nutrients & the right fellow plants in our immediate environment to be able to thrive. Lack of any of the above conditions can lead to degeneration and death over an extended period of time.

The majority of humans are currently leading a very sedentary lifestyle disconnected from nature, spending too much time indoors, breathing shallow, not drinking enough fluids (or drinking the wrong types of fluids), overeating YET undernourishing themselves.

Many people have reversed their chronic conditions by incorporating the 7 Principles of Health going from super sick and nearly dead to super healthy and thriving.



4 Channels of Elimination and Detoxification

Defecation

By eating a nutrient and fibre rich diet, our colon which has been referred to as the 'River of Life' gets what it needs to keep itself flowing and healthy.


Urination

By drinking enough good quality fluids, we support our second river which is our urinary tract. Nature's solution to pollution is dilution. If your body ever becomes contaminated, really hydrating your body is the ultimate solution.


Expiration/ Respiration

By breathing deeply, we support our respiratory system that is responsible for eliminating pollutants from our body. Purifying the air around us by electrifying the air is really important to not add more pollutants into our bodies. Lungs are self-cleaning organs that will begin to heal themselves once they are no longer exposed to pollutants.

You can electrify the air through movement hence why it's best to choose a ceiling fan over air-con, open your windows to get fresh air come through, spend plenty of time outdoors especially near forests and oceans and you can improve your indoor air by diffusing essential oils.


Perspiration

By brushing our skin you can help your body to shed its 500 Million skin cells per day and really help the skin to open up and breath. Not adding any toxic chemicals onto your skin is really important to not suffocate the skin and cause an acidic environment that leads to all sorts of skin diseases. Opening up the skin and really allowing the sun to shine in will make your skin glow out of joy. And then don’t forget to break into a sweat to help your augumentary system to eliminate toxins through the skin.

Guasha is a great ancient skin cleaning technique that only requires 2 ingredients - Bicarb Soda & Vodka. Mix the 2 ingredients into a paste and use an exfoliating mitt to brush your skin with it under the shower. After you washed and dried off use some coconut oil and essential oils such as Lavender and Frankincense and relax in the sun for 30 - 60 min depending on your skin type.

The above will help you to support your bodies 4 natural channels of elimination: Pooing, peeing, sweating & breathing!


I'm convinced that the above can make a huge difference to your health and overall well-being. It requires an effort to incorporate some great self-care into your life and putting your own basic needs first!
